History and the Beginning of GP Autoparts

On September 7, 1981, GP Autoparts commenced its operations in a single commercial unit, initially focusing on selling genuine Isuzu parts.

The company was founded based on the recognition of a problem faced by vehicle owners who were choosing substandard aftermarket parts. These inferior parts not only had a shorter lifespan than expected but also risked damaging other vehicle components, potentially compromising the safety of drivers.

Mr. Wiboon Sirimanee-tham, a former executive in the parts department of Tri-Petch Isuzu Sales Co., Ltd. (1965-1981), decided to establish a parts center dedicated exclusively to selling genuine parts to provide customers with confidence in the quality and safety of their vehicles. This decision led to the establishment of “G.P.,” which stands for “Genuine Parts.”
